Def Jux heavy-hitters The Perceptionists are coming to Calgary...and I was tapped to do the poster. DJ Cosm opens the show, he hosts a great radio show on CJSW after an afternoon of reggae...check him out.
An interesting subject...portraying David Bowie's many odd film roles. I enjoyed working from the photos, although Mr. Bowie has some very strange facial anatomy. A lot of sketch paper is getting recycled. I've looked online, and it doesn't look like other cartoonists/caricaturists haven't had much better success...from left to right: The Goblin King/Labyrinth (top), Andy Warhol/Basquiat, the alien guy/The Man Who Fell to Earth, Nikola Tesla/The Prestige and Pontius Pilate/The Last Temptation of Christ.
